Why does the liberal media say Bush ran this country into the ground?

We have good jobs.

Good economic growth.

Good opportunities.

Isn't it time to get real? What more do you want people?

I checked some of your other questions, and I'm pretty sure you're not being sarcastic. You actually believe this stuff! So.. well, I pass.

The revisionists want to paint a rosy picture of the Clinton Administration, as if it were some golden age, when in fact it was like driving through the desert, and the beautiful, lush green town you thought you were seeing was just Hollywood prop sets: all front-facing illusion and nothing behind them.

The Clinton "prosperity" was largely based on completely fictitious value high tech stocks, and most of these companies never ended up producing one dime of profit, and in many cases, never even produced a product. It was all speculation based on speculation.

Then Bush gets into office. A recession is already in progress. The high tech bubble bursts, instantly wiping out the life savings of millions of Americans. Then we had 9-11. Bush and company have done a remarkable job of slow and steady growth.

People just don't get it: the Clinton "prosperity" was large an illusion. Now we have an economy based on real companies with real produtivity.

I am reminded by the Styx song, "Rockin' The Paradise":

"Don't need no fast buck lame duck profits for fun

Quick trick plans, take the money and run

We need long term, slow burn, getting it done

And some straight talking, hard working son of a gun."

Wow. of direction bush suggested adequate stupid stuff to fill entire books, placed out each and every twelve months. And all you have are 3 issues? Regan created jobs by skill of transforming into larger government. Plus the economic equipment basically began to advance after Reagan raised taxes. isn't that evil socialism? Carter inherited a broken economic equipment from Nixon and Ford, examine out the recession of 1974 by 1977 for reference, and issues have been recuperating whilst Reagan took workplace, yet of direction he took credit for Carter's artwork. The economic equipment crashed in 2008, who became President in 2008? right here's a splash, it wasn't Obama. in case you prefer to talk approximately hypocrisy shall we communicate approximately what bush did over an 8 twelve months era and how the conservatives seem thoroughly ignoring what somewhat got here approximately. yet as somebody says, you may no longer have 8 years of elephant droppings and then blame the guy with the broom.

Bush took over a healthy budget surplus and ran it into the highest deficit the USA has ever known; he created a phony war to fill Halliburton contracts and has bled taxpayers dry to get money ostensibly for the war but the money mysteriously vanished; Halliburton refused to open its books for an IRS audit, how many of us could get away with that, Bush never was elected he manipulated the votes to steal both elections and Katherine Harris received a big promotion and salary raise for her part in helping him cheat, he has now plunged the USA into trillions of dollars of debt forcing foreclosures and tent cities to spring up in several cities, he has taken hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars which remain unaccounted for, and he is now bailing out financial institutions again at taxpayer expense to the tune of trillions more. So, speaking for myself and all intelligent Americans I'd say he has done his level best to run this country right into the ground with no hope for recovery. Next?

The basic, sound principles of our government and our economy are the only thing keeping us afloat. We've been the most powerful and rich country since World War II, bar none. But we only maintain our position and status as the extreme world superpower due to the factors and effects that were in place before George W. Bush took over as president.

Those that voted for Bush/Cheney got everything they voted for and deserved: a trillion dollar war, trillion dollar big business bailouts at taxpayers' expense, and a government less accountable to the people.

Honestly, if you like war and think we might benefit with more conflict around the world, perhaps with Iran and Russia for starters, vote for McCain. If you like the failed theory that deregulated big business and corporations work best and our economy, vote for McCain.

In many ways... proven, failed ways... McCain is Bush's clone.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Because ironically Bush has run our country into the ground. Into the ground, through the gutter and about to put it into the trash can of debt.

We are losing good jobs everyday.

Economic growth is frozen by stagnant wages, home foreclosure, bank failures, etc.

And opportunities continue to leave and go to countries with cheap, exploited labor.

I don't know what country your currently living in but I want a U.S. that I, my kids and my kids, kids won't be saddled with trillions of dollars of debt.

i am a democrat. while i don't think that bush can be blamed for everything that has gone wrong...the facts don't support your argument.

so, you would say that the economy is completely healthy? sounds like you're smoking something that you shouldn't. where is this good economic growth and the opportunities that you speak of?

Good jobs, Good economic growth, Good opportunity. Are you really paying attention to what's going on in this country.

You are either some spoiled rich brat, not really from America, or have no clue as to how the economy works.

Wow, can I have some of whatever you are drinking? Do you have any idea how many jobs have been lost this year alone, how many families are homeless, there are tent cities in some states, most people haven't had a raise in over a year. The only opportunities I see available are in the military if McCain gets elected!
