Hi,
Depends which one you mean are new.
The Elites have a different chipset but they do still get this error as well although it is far less common than the standard Xbox.
The new Jasper chip is coming out soon and that is meant to stop the red lights from happening altogether but we will have to wait and see.
Hope this helps!

I have heard that they use new heatsinks to try and dissipate the heat better, but the real problem was them not using enough solder at the joints of the hardware connectors. Whether or not they are using more solder, i do not know. But they do have a lower failure rate than before.

Depends on when you are buying it... If it is new in the box, and you are buying it today... than no, it does not have the ring of death, Microsoft fixed that problem a while ago.

Depends, email Microsoft and ask if they modified the 360s,
If they say yes
they may be fixed!
(But if they dont respond and you still get the new 360s,
Try the towel trick)
