How much do you trust your eyes?
Christians and atheists, do you trust your eyes and why or why not? How
did the eye come about, and why does every creature have different kinds
and amounts of eyes? Can light be described to a blind man?
"And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes,
and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. "
We Christians believe we walk by faith and not by sight, and anyone who doesn't believe in God
is blind. When God first heals us from blindness, sometimes the world looks way different than
we had imagined it. If we tell a blind man that we see men as trees walking, he would call us
a fool or crazy. Our walk with God is not yet perfect, but He will touch us and perfect us. So
what do you think, do you trust your eyes?

Actually eye witness testimony has proven to be extremely unreliable in court cases and is not highly regarded as proof.

Then close your eyes, and walk. It won't take you very far before you crash, I can promise that much.
Yes, I do trust my eyes. It's gotten me through 18 years in this world, I plan for my eyes to take me through at least that much more, hopefully.

I trust reason, not my eyes. While I hear and see my toaster speaking to me, my reason shouts, "meds!"
