Excellent post, I see you did your homework.
In a nutshell, Obama is promising things he cannot provide just to get elected. His numbers dont add up. And he's gonna cut taxes for 95% of the people on top of that??? lol
Not to mention his 840$ billion Global poverty bill
America we have to stand up now and stop this and keep our country
It's called the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), and it is being sponsored by none other than Senator Barack Obama.
According to some conservative sources, this disastrous legislation could eventually force U.S. taxpayers to fork over as much as 0.7 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product -- or $845,000,000,000.00 -- on welfare to third-world countries.
Here's what Phyllis Schlafly, conservative activist and founder of Eagle Forum, recently wrote:
"Obama's costly, dangerous and altogether bad bill (S. 2433), which could come up in the Senate any day, is called the Global Poverty Act. It would commit U.S. taxpayers to spend 0.7 percent of our Gross Domestic Product on foreign handouts..." [Emphasis Mine]

McCain proposes more tax cuts for Corporations which is the same as spending the money. And Alan Greenspan said that borrowing more money for the McCain tax cuts was very unwise.
All the banks etc and the Real Estate that has caused this problem are the McCain heavy duty supporters.
I do agree with you that some of the plans that Obama has proposed will not work with the new crisis.
However, I live in Arizona and was here when McCain's friend Charles Keating went to jail its same old same old stuff. Can we afford all the tax breaks. No we cannot China will own our economy if we do not stop saying lets keep fighting this war and keep cutting taxes. It will eventually bankrupt the Country, if it hasn't already.

Good post and I do not think we can afford it. As for the people who keep talking about the bailouts, be glad they happened because otherwise many of us would be without work very shortly. Also check out how the bailouts work before getting too upset. The government will make a profit off of the bailouts in the long run. I think the government should have taken actions to prevent the problem such as not trying to make it where people with little income could get loans they had no way of paying back and holding lenders as well as borrowers responsible for the bad leading practices but if they did these things people would cry because they could not get a loan to pay for a million dollar house on a 100,000 per year job.

Do you want to do something aside from copy/paste stuff nobody's going to read, please?
The US government is screwed in 20 years (maybe less) because the country cannot possibly afford to pay for the healthcare it promised to baby boomers through medicare. I'm miffed at both parties for ignoring this fact in favor of talking about lipstick and other general mudslinging antics.
And by the way, if anyone actually did read your exercise in verbosity, "Obama's Plan Would Raise Taxes On Capital Gains And Dividends," is not an increase in spending.

You do realize that 850 billion $ is only about half of what Bush has spent. What do we have to show for that? Difference is Obama wants to use that money to help people. Help actual American citizens. Help them further their education after high school. Help people get health insurance. Money well spent in my opinion. How has the country been faring under republican rule? Although I disagree with your opinion I still have to admit you have by far the best anti-obama question I've seen. You didn't even call him any dirty names. I am impressed.

Love the way Republicans always criticize Dems for wanting to increase government spending - when of course they are the primary culprits.
In Bush's first term outlays increased from 18.4% of GDP to 20.2% of GDP.
That represents a bigger increase than what you are claiming Obama proposes
Source(s): Your next VP - the Global Poverty Act has absolutely no spending requirements within it - it cannot force us to spend anything. It is co-sponsored by Republicans in both the house and the senate and has broad bi-partisan support. You should admit it when you quote ignorant blowhards like Kincaid and Limbaugh as "some conservative sources". And even then you have to misrepresent the lies they tell. 845 billion is not 0.7% of GNP - it is an estimated 13 year figure based on the fictional requirement. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements... - 1 decade ago
Paulson is going to rescue the economy with $700 billion to buy mortage paper from the banks. When he had the US checkbook over to Obama it will as empty as that list of promises.

BRAVO...I see that you have successfully pissed off the dems who can't see the writing on the wall except for the word "change". Unfortunately change isn't always a good thing especially when all of these fancy speeches add up to more money out of all our pockets. Thank you for enlightening us all!
P.S. To all you dems....McCain is NOT George Bush....remember, cloning is illegal!
