Why do people always want to touch my tattoo?

Get used to it. I have 3/4 of my upper body covered. Strangers are constantly doing this. Especially little kids. I'll be standing in line at the grocery store, and suddenly I'll feel a little hand running up my arm! Creepy, really, if you ain't expecting it, and I never am! What's worse is the occasional parent of said kid who encourage their kids to do it. Now, I'm a nice guy, and I'll let them see the tatts, and answer their questions. ("Did it hurt?" "Will they come off?" kinda stuff.) But what if I was some kind of freak? A seriously bad thing for kids to get into the habit of doing, right?

Anyway, it'll probably keep happening if your ink isn't covered up.

The plus side is that I get some of the same attention from adult females, too. So it ain't all bad! lol

Because some people just don't think that you care, they do what they like without thought of consequences....it's the same when your pregnant, you get everybody coming up an touching your tummy an your standing there thinking 'well i wouldnt walk up an touch you coz i dont know you so why the hell are you touching me' lol

Probably for the same reason people always touch pregnant womens' bellies? It's something out of the ordinary and beautiful in it's own way.

Its an enigma that we will probably never fully understand. They must be nice tattoos. I have one on my wrist that people want to know about so they always ask me what it means. But I don't get touched very often. Hope I helped!

Because they like it... it should be a compliment, but it is awkward. I have one on my shoulder blade & whenever I wear a tank top, people think they're allowed to come up to me and touch it..It's really rude.
