I have a strange question that I honestly can't answer...?
My husband and I are currently trying to get pregnant. This month is the first month I started using OPK's and I had and LH surge on Sept. 16. We also BD'd the 14,15, and 16th. I have had sore breasts for a few days which I usually get when my AF is going to show up, but it's not due for a while. And they actually HURT... but I digress.
Here is my question (sorry for the rambling). I have been counting calories for a year, making sure not to go above 1500 calories a day. I used to have trouble eating enough to hit my minimum (1200), but the past 3 days, I have been ravenous. I just can't seem to get full. So my question for you lovely ladies is this: Should I try to stay at my 1500 calorie menu and be hungry? Or should I eat until I am full (or until I find out if I am pregnant or not). I really appreciate the help. This is a first for me. Thank you very much in advance.

While I usually would say that you should only eat what you feel your body needs, rather than eating up to a set amount, since you are trying to get pregnant and there is a chance you may be, you should up the calories until you find out. If 1200 to 1500 is your normal range, I would try for somewhere between 1500 and 2000, but that should be based on your current weight.
And don't try to shove like 3 candy bars in there to make up the extra calories. Try to get some of the things your (maybe!) baby needs, like some cheese for calcium, some lean meat or legumes for protein, some dark leafys for folic acid and calcium. I'm sure you probably already know that, though, so sorry if I'm preaching to the choir ;)
Question: Are you on SparkPeople? Because if you are (and if you're not) check out their sister site http://www.babyfit.com/
Good luck and preemptive congratulations!

In my personal opinion, I would say try to hit 2000 calories a day. Not much over that, if any, and not much less. Your body needs fuel to make a little one, and 2000 calories is the daily recommendation for an adult female.

U should go to a 1700 calorie diet. When my mom was pregnant with me, she ate meat all the time! I f u r pregnanat, then eat meat. the protein is good for the baby. the baby take a quater of what u eat, so eat a little more than usual. like i said. 1700 calorie diet

well im also ttc and i myself count calories. I think it is quite healthy for me. I am only 4dpo but i make sure i get my 3 meals a day in. I think you should be fine until you find out for sure. but if you are pregnant i would suggest you increase your intake by maybe 700 calories.

the fact is that historical past did no longer do justice to shia and its followers, this tiers from blackmail, killing, bridge of have confidence and lots greater. Now that there is a splash area for us to education our theory, the sunni are looking into our activities as something new and examine out to push us away with bias and hatred. All we would like is freedom of finished education of our doctrine which they do no longer seem to be waiting to different than while it is previous their administration. All we would like is enable us to come back from historical past and education the real doctrine of the religion a minimum of the 5 pillars of Islam properly jointly. might God supply us the skill to close the hollow between us.

I would just be safe until you know for sure and eat until your satisfied. You dont have to eat until your stuffed but dont be hungry if there's a chance you may be pregnant.

you don't know if you are pregnant but if you are and you don't eat, then that wont be healthy for your baby. its best to keep eating since your not 100% sure that your pregnant. go see a Doctor. they can tell you more. just explain to them what you have told us.

EAT TILL YOUR FULL! if you count that few of calories, that might be the reason your not able to get pregnet.
