We all know that being racist is wrong today. Less than 40 years ago, people were openly racist. What changed?

What I mean is, how come people (or at least most people) can differentiate between right and wrong today, but most turned a blind eye to it 40 years ago?

It's because of Martin Luther King Jr.

You should read some of the books he wrote. He summed up in 30 pages what an entire library section of studies on racism could not, and somehow he managed to keep his concepts of non-violence and racial equality moving at the same time. Brilliant, brilliant man.

The environments have changed and even the way we think.

in that time, they didn't feel " think " they do something wrong because it was common and normal but now through the media, books, low and the way we think we know it is wrong....

The law protects us blacks and other creations from God. If the law didn't exist and was not put into action fairly I myself would likely be the cook and tending Master Johns kids if not one was mines....
