FDR wasn't inaugurated for his first term until March of 1933. The market crash was in 1929.
And I seriously doubt that FDR got on "television" in either 1929 or 1933.

Can you imagine if this was Palin? We'd have hours after hours of news coverage and newspaper headlines ripping her for not knowing the president during the stock market crash or saying FDR appeared on TV in 1929.
