Did I buy the proper hair products for my daughter to use with a hair straightener?
I found some Chi items to use on my daughter's hair and need to know if these are the proper things to use. Her hair has become quite dry since using the straightener. I bought the Chi Infra Shampoo, Infra Treatment and the Silk Infusion. Are these the right things to buy? Thanks.
Thanks Ren.. I grew up in the 80's where we permed and curled our hair.. not straighten it, so this is all new to me. :-)

Those products sound great. Just make sure your daughter puts some kind of styling product in her hair before she flat irons it. That will protect it from the heat and keep it from getting dry and fried. Anything will work: mousse or gel when wet, or my favorite is Kenra Thermal Styling Spray. You just spray it on dry hair before you flat iron it.

Those are fine.
If her hair is getting very dry from using the straightener you are doing some damage.
I would definitely recommend that you do a hot oil treatment at least once a week. Two would be better. You could make it a fun bonding routine. Maybe make it a Sunday and Thursday night ritual. Both of you could do hot oil treatments together and facials ?
Keep the hair as healthy as you can so that it looks its best when you do these kind of things to it and she'll rave about how smart and wonderful you are !
