Will you please tell me why Miley Cyrus has so many fans?

To answer your question, it would be much easier to ask yourself the same question; when you were younger, who was your favorite singer/band/actor and why? Maybe not at 7, but when you were 11 or 12, there was a singer/actor/band you had a huge crush on, had all their posters/albums/magazine articles, watched every TV interview or appearance, dressed like they did, cranked the radio up every time the song played or played that album or tape into the ground. I'm also very sure your parents scratched their heads and wondered why you were so obsessed with that damn group! Take the feelings you had and remember them. That's your answer. Your parents had the same crushes on their idols, and it made THEIR parents confused too. It goes on and on. It's ok you don't understand what the Miley attraction is, just see that she likes Miley because of her clothes, her singing, the cute merchandising whatever it is. She's gonna move on to another singer or group or actor and then it'll be something or someone else.

Your daughter is entertained by Miley's character on television as are most children. The difference is that in today's world the media and with all the marketing that goes on our kids are subjected to even more than just what they see on television. People make entire careers out of marketing to young children, they are good at what they do. Your daughter thinks she is "cool" because that is how Miley is being portrayed to her.

She probably like her so much because she's a star. But more than that...I don't know if your daughter watches Hannah Montana but seeing that show can make Miley feel like more of a person to your daughter than the other celebrities. The character she plays is relatable, nice, funny, and pretty. Of course she is going to be popular with the younger crowd! Her music is upbeat and she is down to earth.

It's because the media tells children and teens who they should like, and they lap it up. Even if they aren't directly exposed to it, they will indirectly experience the same thing via the desire to fit in, when all of the other kids are talking about how cool something is.

That's about it. It's very simple. Just avoid letting your child get into the trash on MTV so she does not grow up to be a horrible person.

Tween idols popularity don't make a lot of sense, she just has caught on kind of like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen did for quite a few years. Miley too will pass and then there will be another one. So it goes.

Miley Cyrus was casted for Hannah Montana before she became big. with Disney's help she became Huge with the help of advertising. She is also very big because most kids dream is to make it big, or "be a rock star".

I have observed teens around "Idols" and a lot of them have multiple things in common with their Idol that makes them feel close to them, almost like they can become them instantly. This is one of many connections between kids and their Idols.

Didn't you have someone you really liked when you were a kid? Your parents probably didn't understand why you liked whomever it was. I really enjoyed watching (this is embarrassing now) Power Rangers. I liked that show because I thought it was cool that they fought the bad guys. I know that is not what Miley does, but in her show she is really awesome, can sing, and people just like people they thing are really cool or fascinating.

YOUre absolutly right. The thing that maks people love her is the fact that she is on tv and a singer, and kids like to see someone that is in music and is a kid basically herself. I dont know how old Miley is, but she acts like she is 14 and kids like that, especially when the kids are about 6 years old to 12 years old. Its the realtion the kid feels that they have to her.

Because Disney said she was cool. But like all Disney kids, she will just be another Lidnsey Lohan or Britney Spears

Maybe it is because she can be a blonde and a brunette, so more little girls relate to her. Plus have you ever spent time watching the show with your daughter? The girl is actually really goofy and down to earth. I am 26 and get a kick out of it somtimes. She is very relateable.
