Did you hear Obama tell congress to "just call him" if they need him?

Are you kidding? What kind of leader is that?

Update:

No he did say to just call him if they needed him. I just heard him.

Funny how Obama is so eager to debate now, since McCain has been asking him to do townhall meetings for 3 months.

Update 2:

See that's the problem with Obama, all he wants to do is TALK. No action. He just talks talks talks talks....

Update 3:

Thanks antiliberal for giving Charlie Bucket a civics lesson. Ha Ha

    No, I didn't.

And even if he did say it, he's right. That's why he has his own plane. That's why McCain has his own plane.

McCain is using this crisis as another distraction. That's what the Republicans do. They can't talk on the issues, so they do any and everything to avoid them.

Obama is a pretentious snob. A detached pseudo-intellectual. An opportunist in change-agent's clothing. Of course he wants to be called if someone needs him. He's got to climb the ladder so he can urinate on the common folk.

    What a scum bag.

He wasn't in Congress when they were making millions and destroying the economy. I agree with him, he has an election to win. let the Republiclans deal with the mess they created!

one can only pray he keeps his cell phone charged!

Seriously, he might have a point. Why would congress need him a 2 year senator who has accomplished little except run for higher office?

McCain on the other hand, is a seasoned senator who could actually have some positive input into settling this crisis.

Yep, Obama's right. We don't need him in a crisis situation.

he would probably just vote present anyway

Bucket: House of Representatives is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress; the other is the Senate.

Obama should be at congress like McCain is, in such an important issue

He is not a leader, and he never will be. Obama just cut his own throat. Good Riddance. Democrat for McCain/Palin 2008.

NO neither did you Obama is a very Intelligent candidate for not falling for McCain gimmick .

  • 1 decade ago

Actually, he said a lot more than that. He's been in touch with leadership on The Hill for days and has been fully engaged in the issue.

Personally, I agree with Obama: This is EXACTLY the time for us to hear from the potential new president of the US.

I don't know what McCain thinks he can accomplish in DC, other than infusing presidential BS into an already stressful situation.

Obama is a SENATOR and has nothing to do with the working of the CONGRESS. Somebody needs a civics lesson...
