I am not sure why you are asking here. Did you not hear him speak? Maybe it will be on CNN or YouTube for you to watch. You may not agree with him, but he explained his reason fully and completely answered your question already.

People are seeing him in a negative way more and more. The Debate council has already said it will go on and Obama said a President has to be a multi-tasker, in other words it's a lame excuse he thinks will make Americans think "what a guy", but in reality it will just bring him down more.

President McCain has already won.

He has had a pattern of lieing & doing things out of his fear. He is not prepared to debate a Harvard Law graduate. He looked good on the day of the Rick Warren forum cause Obama just back from Hawaii & probably had jet lag & was not his normal sefl but this thing he is doing now is a stunt....they don't need him now & they are not ready to rush into anything so it is ridiculous.
