I belong to a vegan online community and have met lots of people that way. We have local meetups and a large group gathering annually, which I've been to once (for me, it's not terribly far away, but some people traveled from out of the country for it.) I've made friends with several of the local people who I get to see regularly.

No, I've never done any of that. I don't really see the point. I'd likely have more in common with people who liked the same style of shoe as me than with other vegetarians. Just because I've made one lifestyle choice doesn't mean I'm going to suddenly identify with others who have made the same one. It's a pretty general thing to me. It seems as random as getting together with everyone else in my area who enjoys strawberries or buys Pantene shampoo.

When i was a meater, it never come across my thought to appreciate any vegetarian food. I often tried to evade whenever a veggie friend invite me for dine. Today i'm a vegan, and i empathize how do a real "carnivorous" feels! But in reality, human consumes VEGAN diet all the times but sparingly include flesh here and there. So, it's a lie if he/she dislike a veg*n diet. Human eats anything when starving, and would not craved to anything when his stomach is filled. This is fact.
