What is classical period? 5,000 years ago? 3,000 years ago? 2,000 years ago? or earlier?

You cant question Indian History like western History where there was much rebellion and treason. These are wrong words.

The history of India is different in thought and deeds.

Hinduism the relgion does not say what you can do and cant do in your life but gives you the path by which you can attain one with God.

If you are rebelling against society or king or your family then it has nothing to with Hindusim. It is your right to the righteous duty.

The caste system was a means later on in the history of India to control and stay in power for certain types of people and has nothing do with the Varan system of the Bhagvad Gita.

Unless you can understand this you cannot take on this question.

The caste system is very important to the structure of the culture and religion of Hinduism, as illustrated in the poem Bhagavad Gita. It is one's solemn duty to live within his caste and perform the duties and take the responsibilities that come with that caste. Rebellion and treason throw the system off, and show for lack of a better word blasphemy and disrespect to Brahma and the system set in place for progression through reincarnation to achieve Nirvana.
