950,000 *(1/5) = 950,000/5 = 190,000

190,000
Divide by ten and then multiply by 2 is probably the easiest way of doing it mentally.
2*1/5 = 2/5
2/5 / 2 = 2/10
2/10 = 1/5 * 2/2 = 1/5 * 1
I didn't come up with a question, I stated the answer.

*Absolute value = two answers. First: solve for "x" without the absolute value sign: 3 = x + 9 Second: to solve for "x" make sure "x" is left on one side. subtract 9 from both sides: 3 - 9 = x + 9 - 9 -6 = x; x = -6 Third: solve for "x" again but change the sign for 3 into -3, excluding the absolute value sign: -3 = x + 9 -3 - 9 = x + 9 - 9 -12 = x; x = -12 Fourth: "x" is always greater than 0, in this case -6 and -12 are less than 0. There is no solution.

one fifth = a fraction = a portion of the value.
Specifically
1/5*950000 = 190000
