It's about 1:40am and I don't want to call my doctor but I'm 37 weeks and concerned...?
I was woken by some cramping I'm having. It's mild and somewhat dull, but ... persistant and annoying. I took 2 Tylenol about 40 minutes ago and it hasn't really gone down. I tried walking around the house but it hasn't helped. It's not back pain either, like I've looked up. It's right above and kind of in my crotch and my upper thighs ... does that make sense?
I also think I started to lose my mucus plug a few hours ago, which I know means I could go into labor soon or in 3 weeks. (If that helps any.) My question is: What is this pain and why won't it go away??
Hm... More constant than not.
Oh, I haven't had any braxton hicks contractions at all. I guess I thought real contractions would be really sharp? Or do they start dull?

You could call your hospital where you'll be delivering, a nurse may be able to answer better for you, since you don't want to disturb your doctor unless necessary. The hospital is always open.
Edit: I'm sorry, I forgot to wish you good luck, so good luck to you!

I would just go to the ER. They always say it's better to be safe than sorry. If you call they will probably just tell you to go in to make sure anyway. I would especially go if it gets worst or doesn't go away within the hour. Try taking another tylenol [the doctors always tell me to take three at once.] and try drinking water. I really would call your doctor, or labor and delievery, or the hospital, or just go to the ER [well Labor and Delievery I guess, you're pretty far along.]
Good Luck!!

could be braxton hicks or could be labour...only time will tell...
if it doesnt go away keeps getting worse and is at regular intervals getting closer and closer together then it might be labour
if its pain at random times and it eases and comes back and eases and comes back etc it isnt labour its jsut braxton hicks
labour contractions arnt constant pain but comes at regular intervals and doesnt ease - they come at the same amount of time apart gradually getting closer together and mroe and more painful - you can time them
if its constant maybe you have very bad wind/gas in your tummy or something?
it its still hapenning in an hour and having a bath or moving position doesnt help id give the hospital a call and tell them how you feel and see what they think is best to do - best of luck :)

Yes, I would call your hospital and ask. There's no harm doing that or even call your dr if you are concerned. Don't take any chances if it's bothering you this much. Something could be going on and you need to know, why suffer if you don't have to with the pain or the worry. Good luck!

Call your doctor and get dressed. You'll probably be told to go to the hospital for an examination.
Good luck and congratulations!
