Sadly there are a handful of species on the planet that have less than 100 left.

First species that comes to mind is the Amur Leopard. There are only about 30 of them left but out of those 30 only a few are female which between that and poaching sadly the species is doomed. They are looking at removing what is left from the wild and placing them into protective zoos, centers and keeping healthy blood lines going so that once it is safe again they can work on a release program.

Another one is the Northern White Rhino... the best guess was that there were 3-4 left but as of a few months ago they believe poachers got the last. :( Do not confuse them with Southern White Rhinos, there are a poop load of htem left and that is normally what is kept in zoos.

They were regarded as extinct 30 years in the past until eventually a ranger got here about to discover one. we are now searching for a lady as a thanks to get those animals back on the map.

Lonesome George. He's the last living Giant Galapagos tortoise. Although 99.9% of the earths original species are already extinct. So there are probably other animals that are the last of their kind too.
