Pregnant with question about due date?
I just found out yesterday I am pregnant with our 4th little muffin. The OB office asked me on the phone as I was making my appt. when was my last period. Well, I had one Aug. 2nd and again August 26, which is VERY unusual for me. Could I possibly be further along, or am I 5 weeks, as is suggested on all the due date calculators on-line? Also, do most OB's wait for you to be around 8 weeks to see you, or is it just my office???

You're probably just 5 weeks, although at your first appointment if your uterus feels bigger than that or due to any other indication, the doctor may do an ultrasound to check how far along you are. You may want to call the OB office and mention that you aren't sure how far along you were because of an irregular period and they may want to see you sooner.
Yeah, I believe most OB's wait for you to be about 8 weeks. I had my first appointment at 8 weeks, 4 days and that's a pretty normal time range for the first appointment.
Congratulations!

You could possibly be further along. I have 4 little ones, and with my first, I had periods up till I missed one and found out I was 8 months pregnant. I honestly did not know and had her 4 weeks later. And she was healthy as ever. My other 3 I had periods and didn't find out till I was 4-5 months along. So it's hard to say when it is. Good Luck.

I would request an ultrasound after your first appointment. I thought I was 6 weeks along with this one when the ultrasound actually determined that I was 9 weeks along. Technology is great!! Also, you should be able to get in with a OBGYN at 6-8 weeks.

I can't answer about how far along you are, other than to say that your first Ultrasound will clear it up.
I had my first pre-natal appointment at 5 weeks to confirm pregnancy and I did a pap and exam also. But I didn't have my first ultrasound until 8 weeks.
