I have narrowed down our choices for science and I would like anyone to comment, either positive or negative on the following:

1. Exploring Creation With ... series

2. Lifepac Science

I have looked at dozens of reviews on line, but they are so contradicting! One says Lifepac is great while another says the oposite. Please, I need anyone who has used either series to give me a detailed opinion and summary of them, including level of difficulty, use of extra materials, etc... Thank you!

I am planning on homeschooling 2 of our children next year for grades 2 and 6. I am not sure if a packaged homeschool program would fit our family. Can someone please advise me as to where I can purchase textbooks individually for each subject, or even better, get them for free? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We have about 9 years left on our mortgage. The interest rate is 6.1% and it is an escrow account. If we were to double our payments each month, how long would it take for us to pay it off? Would it cut our time left in half?

I would like to ask for all of you to please pray for the health of my unborn baby. Things are not looking good but I also know how powerful prayer can be. God answers all prayers and I am faithful to Him. Please, if you could think of us today, I would really appreciate it. Have a great day.

My LMP was August 26th. I had 2 periods that month which is VERY unusual for me. Anyways, I found out at the end of Sept. that I was pregnant. According to my LMP, I should be around 7 1/2 weeks now. I had blood work done last week which they said was good. Anyways, now, I have been spotting very lightly, a brownish discharge on and off. I went for an ultrasound today and they had a very hard time finding the sac and she said it was not measuring 7 1/2 weeks. They couldn't find really anything at this stage. My doctor is a bit concerned, so I am having blood work today and again on Monday. Has anyone had this same sort of scenario and found out the dates were just off or something? I am positive about my LMP but ovulation of course could be the issue. Please help!

My dr. office just called and told me my progesterone level is 24.6 and my hcg is 1,793. I believe I am 6 weeks pregnant (my last period was Aug. 26). If this makes any difference in regards to progesterone, I am 38 years old. Can someone please tell me if these #s are ok? The nurse told me the progesterone level was very good, and the hcg was in the normal range, and she would have the OB look it over and decide if I should have an early ultrasound, but because I have already had a miscarriage once before, I am a nervous wreck! Thanks for all your responses.

I am about 6 weeks pregnant with our 4th baby. With my 1st 2, I had no sickness or sore breasts at all- just alot of peeing at night. With my 3rd, I had some sickness and peeing and thats it. Now with this one, it seems like my body is playing tricks on me. One minute, I feel a very slight bit of nausea, slightly sore nipples, and some extra peeing. Then, just like that, the symptoms are all gone! I worry that something could be wrong and would like to know if anyone has also experienced this. I went to the dr. to take the blood test today, but won't have my OB appt. until the end of the month. Thank you for all your responses.

We are expecting our 4th little one in June 2009. When did you let everyone know the good news? I had a miscarriage with our 1st pregnancy, but then the next 3 were successful. I know its very early but what do most people do??? I was reluctant to tell everyone with my other 3 because of that 1 miscarriage, but now I'm wondering if I should just let it out- its HARD keeping such a wonderful secret!

I am pregnant with our 4th baby. I have had 3 c-sections, so this will be my 4th. I don't know why, but it is REALLY bothering me because I do not know anyone who has ever had more than 3 c-sections. Is there anyone out there who has had more than 3, and if you have, were there any unusual problems, complications, etc... Please help- I can't stop thinking about it! Thank you!

I just found out yesterday I am pregnant with our 4th little muffin. The OB office asked me on the phone as I was making my appt. when was my last period. Well, I had one Aug. 2nd and again August 26, which is VERY unusual for me. Could I possibly be further along, or am I 5 weeks, as is suggested on all the due date calculators on-line? Also, do most OB's wait for you to be around 8 weeks to see you, or is it just my office???

I colored my hair on Monday with Nice & Easy #120A- darkest brown. It is permanent hair color. I have always done my own coloring with no problems. Well for some reason, it came out really much darker- it looks black! and then to make matters worse, there are streaks of my former lighter brown all throughout my hair! It is very obvious. My question is, can I go back to the store and buy another permanent hair color that is a shade lighter, like #119 or 118 and just start all over, or will that just make it worse??? Please help!

When we went on a Disney cruise last year, some of us did that banana boat ride thing. Well this year, I don't see it advertised as available anymore. Can someone who has been this year tell me if it is still offered at Castaway Cay? We are going next week and would like to sign up for it ahead of time, if possible.

My daughter has one of those Nintendo DS game systems and buys all her own games for them. As you know, the games are not cheap. Anyways, a few weeks ago, a friend of hers stayed over night. About a week later, when my daughter went to play her DS (she does not play it every day), she noticed 2 of her games were missing. I know that she is very responsible when it comes to keeping the games in the case and she did not take them anywhere. Anyways, her friend told her a few days later that she too just got one of the games that coincidentally is one of the missing ones. I do not know what to do. Our families are pretty close and we spend a lot of time together. I don't know if I should just confront the child, or if I should ask the parents? I don't know if I should just go into her room and see if I can find the games in her case? Please help. I am really hoping that she didn't steal them!

I don't want to offend anyone, but I really do need only Christians who can help me out. My friend has recently started attending my church. She has 2 small children and takes them with her, but her husband who is not a Christian, does not want anything to do with the church. He has attempted to even prohibit my friend from attending the church. It is a non-denominational Bible-based church. It is becoming a huge issue in their marriage and I don't know what advice to give her. Should she, as a Christian wife honor her husband's request and stop going to church, or should she continue to go, knowing that it is going against her husband's wishes? Please- serious answers only. If you have any scripture to support your answer, please include as well. Thank you!

I need to find out what sort of documents my friends need. They are citizens of Germany (German passports) but reside in Canada. They would like to take a cruise that departs from the United States. What specific travel documents will they need?

My friend's child has been having problems with vomiting. It starts usually when she is in a deep sleep- she snores extremely loudly, if this is any help for someone to guess what the problem may be. Then she vomits all evening and into the next morning. She usually has no other symptoms- no stomach pain, no fever, etc... The last time however, she did have stomach pain and so her parents took her to the hospital where they did several tests and came up with nothing. The parents are extremely stressed out because they can't figure out what could be causing this. If it were a food allergy, I would think it would happen other times of the day. Any ideas???

My friend's 6 year old daughter has been having problems with vomiting on and off for a while now. She starts in the evening while sleeping, and then it continues through the night and into the next morning. She usually has no fever and no other symptoms. She was taken to the hospital the last time and after several tests, could not find anything wrong with her. It is very stressful for the parents because this has been happening for several months now. What could be causing this?

I will be exhibiting for the 1st time at a bridal show next month and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, advice, etc... Any and all ideas are welcome!

I told a family member (on my husband's side) something in confidence recently. Well, come to find out, this person went and blabbed to another family member, who told another one, and so on! Well of course, it got back to my husband, who is extremely upset now! Should I confront this person, knowing they will most likely deny they ever said anything, or just let it go and learn my lesson about telling ANYONE anything???

My husband is traveling overseas next week and I would like to get him several items for him to take on the plane to keep him from getting bored, as well as some other travel items. What are some good things to get him?
