Who would pay for bailout?

I've heard talk about taxing those who make 900,000 - 1 mill /year salaries. That sure doesn't include me but most of those people probably still work for a living. What about those that make 10's of millions for doing nothing. The CEOs of those banks and oil companies. They are part of the problem. Or maybe some of those politicians, they are making big money because they are supposed to know how to run the country but I am having my doubts. Most times the experts are the idiots only looking out for #1.

Look at the new washington mutual CEO salary. (Fishman)20mil

http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/provider...

It looks like the old CEO Killinger was paid about 15 mil annually.

These are the stupid rich. It's not like they worked their way to the top through the family business, all they do is kiss *ss to the top.

Update:

I understand the deal. It is just that the government will not make a profit. The government is a very poorly run business. 100% goes in but after all the employee benefits, markups by contractors only 65% comes back.

The costs of the bailout will be borne by the stockholders ot the companies being 'bailed out.'

If you had paid close attention the the terms of the plan - the US government would be buying mortgage-based securities for 70% of their face value.

Since only abut 10% of the mortgages in those securities are expected to be 'bad' - the government is going to make a profit of about 20% then they sell them later.

No I would never pay for a bailout. I think that the Republicans are in a hurry to pass a bailout to relieve the President from being the cause of a depression. He should get all his buddies who fled to the cayman islands to come back and bail themselve out. He made them rich. Maybe a depression will shake everyone up.So be it.
