Trojans! Will setting the computer's clock back to 1980 help wipe out trojans?

    Changing the time/date on your computer will do nothing for a Torjan... You have a VIRUS!

    Here's two applications to install and run - they should be able to remove them... Both are free (and I use them both), fully functional, and free updates... I highly recommend downloading, installing, updating BOTH and running them on all your drives... This might take a while, so you might want to do this before you go to bed or are away from the computer for a while...

    no it wouldnt...

    get an anti virus program update it after installing and then run a scan...

    a free antivirus program u can search for on google or yaho search..try AVG home edition..its free also Avast is free download one of the two install and update them

    then restart ur computer and riht asur computer is starting before it starts loading windows press F8 and ull be taken to a black scree with a bunch of options ..select safe mode and let the computer start ....itll look a lil weird ....but thats ok ...now run a scan with ur new updated antivirus itshould get rid of trojans...good luck

    I can't imagine why a trojan would care what time your computer thinks it is.

    Whoever told you that has no idea what there talking about. Unless they were talking about System Restore, which would be stupid to do also.
