sore throat and ice-cream?
is it ok if i eat ice-cream or cold drinks with a sore throat and a runny nose?

Anything cold is normally great for a fever. It helps bring down your temperature. But ice cream is full of fat and unhealthy calories. I recommend switching to cold yogurt or popsicles or something that is not quite as heavy of a substance so that you can still get your sweet fix and benefit your sore throat.

If you have a cold, I would avoid ice cream. If your sore throat has come about because of other reasons, the cold (of the ice cream) might numb it somewhat, in which case I would say -- go for it.

you actually probably want to drink hot tea or just water... the sugar in the ice cream can actually make sore throats worse.

wheni had tonsilitus the dr recommended ice blocks, because they are numbing, therefore numbing the pain
