Were Adam and Eve suppose to fall by design?
In the scriptures it says God is indeed creating stubborness or hardening whomever He will. - Romans 9:18
And in another scripture it points out that God created the waster to destroy. - Isaiah 54:16
In a book or movie, the audience is acquainted with the main character's qualities, most often, through adversary such as a super hero movie. Without the need for a hero, the movie might be an odd collection of images, with no depth into character development.
Is it possible that Adam and Eve never knew God's character or qualities until He made it obvious to them about their innate human failings with the whole tree test?

Some of us believe that God did purposely put the tree of knowledge there Knowing they would eat and fall so that mankind would really know how much God loved us by coming to earth to redeem us.

I think you are reading too much into a highly metaphorical account of Adam and Eve. There was no "snake" as such, and there was no "fruit" as such. These are metaphors. Eating a particular apple, peach, or whatever was not of central focus in the story. The focus of the story is Adam's & Eve's disobedience to the Command of the Creator, and the consequences that disobedience brought about.
Was it by His design? Not at all; He gave us freedom to choose good or evil. Adam and Eve chose to do evil. But He did see it coming and made a plan to redeem His People from their transgressions. This earth was designed with good and evil already in it as well as consequences for both...Do good, and you will be blessed; do evil and you will be cursed. He lets us choose which we will do, though. The design is in the fact that they had a choice, not in that they would fall victim to their human instincts and lustful flesh.

No.
Adam and Eve were designed to OVERCOME:
" . . . sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." [Genesis 4:7]
BUT, being human in nature, they fell for the argument that is was good to know about evil, and thus succumbed to sin.
They didn't HAVE to; it wasn't designed that way. But when there is the presence of good, there must be, somewhere, the presence of "not good". And when Adam and Eve -- or us -- chooses the "not good" choice, evil is realized.
The difference between "good" and "evil" not a test, it is a natural occurrence based on the fact that you cannot have only one "polarity". If there is a positive, there is a negative; if there is a North there is a South; if there is "good" then there is "evil".
it IS a choice, but not a test.

I believe that Adam and Eve did know God's perfect qualities before the fall because of the intimacy that they had walking in the Garden.
Did they fall by design? No. God wants us, like any loving parent, to do well. He would not plan for them to fail only to prove that He is good and loving.
We are still able to choose our actions even if God knows them in advance. We are not robots. If we were all pawns in God's plan, then sin would not exist.

That's a tough question.
I don't think it was "by design", as you refer to it, but it was because of the "free will" that God gave to people.
When Adam and Eve were created "in God's image" - I do not think that it is the physical appearance that the Bible is referring to, but in man's higher understanding. Part of that was His giving people "free will".
Now, Satan came into the world (via the snake) to decieve Adam and Eve and introduce sin into the world. When they purposefully disobeyed God's direct order, using their free will, to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, sin was introduced into the world and caused the "fall." This "fall" set in motion God's plan to save mankind through his son.
So, I don't think it was "by design," but it was because God gave man "free will."

No, it grew to become into Eve who had a protracted talk with Adam. In Judaism (its the Jewish Torah that has the story, remember?) it particularly is definitely Adam's misinform Eve that starts the entire element. while Adam instructed Eve to not consume OR touch the tree or she could die. Eve touched the tree, observed she didnt die, and he or she then believed Nachash's tale (the snake) that Adam grew to become into attempting to be a god and grew to become into going to leave her in the back of. At that element Nachash have been given Eve to consume from the Tree additionally, by skill of exclaiming "nicely, Adam lied to you approximately touching the Tree, you didnt die, so flow forward and consume from it, he's mendacity to you approximately THAT too!" So she ate from the Tree, and realised that this one grew to become into for actual, and that she had merely extra dying into the international. Then she have been given Adam to consume it too. None of it could have got here approximately if ADAM had not lied to Eve and extra onto the observe of God interior the 1st place while he mentioned Eve on what God had mentioned with regard to the Tree. EDIT: Malcum is erroneous. Adam and Eve took a a hundred thirty twelve months separation from one yet another together as mourning after Cain killed Abel. It grew to become into in this time that Adam grew to become into tempted by skill of Lilith. not after the backyard incident.

Deuteronomy 32:4:his works are perfect and all his ways are just.A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
He did not predestinate humans to 'fall'. Everyone, including them, had freedom to choose.
We know because god is just he did not allow them, more so Adam, to be ignorant of his standards.Adam passed on knowledge to eve.He also told them that they would 'positively' die if they disobeyed.

If you believe that god is omniscient, then yes, everything is predetermined and the free will he supposedly gave us doesn't exist, as god already knows the outcome of every event from the beginning to the end of time, including his own actions (which means that prayer doesn't work unless it was part of the predetermined sequence of events that was set in stone at teh beginning of time).

If god knows everything before it happens, and he created Adam and Eve knowing full well that they would fall, that makes him a sociopath, purposely inflicting death and pain on his human creation without regard of the result, self assured in his own supremacy.
With a god like that, who needs a devil.
