How can I get the point across that I like a guy, without exactly declaring it?

Start flirting physically too, like playfighting, emphasise something is funny by touching his arm so it looks in context but flirty too, ask for a hug when you see him, accidentally on purpose bump into him etc. etc. If he likes you he will reciprocate and do the same back or not brush you off but encourage it... In your classes, while you're working or your teacher is talking, you should write him a note (not a long one) just one that would say "ugh this class sucks wats up?" or something to get the note going back and forth between you two. If he keeps passing it then he must be sort of interested, right? otherwise he wouldn't be messing with that. then maybe you could ask him some "deep" questions on that note and find out if he likes you and tell him you like him in some way that doesn't have to be "i like you"
