  • How do I tell my boyfriend that I feel unappreciated?

My boyfriend and I have been together 10 months and there has been barely any romance in our relationship. I am not trying to make a score card, but just making a comparison:

    - Pay for my own meals (and sometimes his)

    - Make him cards when he is sick

    - Draw him pictures for no reason

    - Cook him meals

    He:

    - Picks me up and drives everywhere

    - Makes me a Mix CD

And it annoys me sometimes when we talk about money. It takes the romance out of everything. I will suggest going out to a movie, but he will say he has no money. He has a job, and I do not. He buys a PS3 and always mooches.

What can I do to let him know that we have a boring relationship? The only time he ever seems to be romantic and tries, when he gets jealous about a guy. And to be honest, I am not 16-years-old, and not immature to try make him jealous on purpose.

  • How do I tell my boyfriend that our relationship is lacking romance?

My boyfriend and I are lacking in the romance department. I make him cute little cards, make him dinner, and send him little messages. Lately, I feel like he barely even tries. He never takes me out, always says he's too broke (despite the fact we go Dutch, he has a job, I do not, and that he just bought a PS3), and never compliments me unless I give him the bait to do so. Sometimes I just feel unappreciated. The only time he really tries is when he feels there is the threat of another man or than I am upset with him. I do not do anything to make him jealous, when I tell him I am hanging out with a guy friend (whom he is also friends with, and knows that me and this guy are like brother and sister, AND that we were hanging out with a group of people).

What can I do to let my boyfriend know I feel unappreciated?

  • What should I say to my friend?

Three days ago, my friend James invited me to go to a fire at his house. I told him I couldn't go because I was hanging out with my friend Mac, and I was not going to ditch my plans with Mac. For the three days leading up to the fire, James woud not stop bringing up me not going to the fire, and proceeded to leave comments on my FB about it, IM me about it, and text me about it. He told meto bring Mac, but he and Mac are not friends and Mac did not want to go. Last night, when me and Mac were hanging out, James and his sister texted me almost 30 times about coming and how everyone wanted me there, and called me 11 times (I answered none of the calls). He's been a complete jerk about it, and I know he is going to keep bringing up me not going. What do I say to him, while maintaing a friendship?

  • What can I do to fix what I have said?

Me and this guy have known each other for years. As of the past 4 weeks, we have been hanging out together. This week, we saw each other everyday. Last night we were at a party, and we were waiting for his friend to pick him up, when I asked him if he was into any other girls. He wouldn't give me a straight answer, and I pressed him a little, and then I apologized. What can I do to make it up to him?

  • Would this confuse you, if I put this in a note?

I'm giving a guy I like my number. And me and him have this thing where we say one of us is cooler than the other. I finally admitted that he was cooler than me(jokingly). So under the phone number I wrote: "Nah. I'm cooler than you."

Do you think he'd get it and think its lame?

  • How do I get a coworker to leave me alone?

My coworker always annoys me. I work in the part of the market that has a scanner, but its not my main job to check out people's groceries. That coworker ALWAYS brings his stuff to check out with me, even if the store is dead, and I have other customers. He always makes comments and compliments me, but I feel weird that my 45 year old coworker said I looked like "a sexy librarian"(I wear glasses) and I'm a minor. And he knows. He always asks how old I am. He just pisses me off now, and I avoid and ignore him and make tiny small talk, but...basically how do I get this guy off my back?

  • How can I feel better about everything?

I feel like crap. No it's not about that I think I am ugly, or that I think I am an idiot, or some boy doesn't think I'm pretty. Not at all.

This year, my close friends basically ditched me, because I was focusing on studies. Now I feel like I have no one to talk to. I have my family and we are close, but it's not the same. I feel like I cannot trust anyone with how I feel, because I'm afraid that I'm going to be ditched again. It also did not help that one of my close friends and I dated, and he broke up with me and refused to be friends with me, and so now I have to see him everywhere (work included).

What can I do to cheer myself up and move on?

P.S. It's not like religion doesn't help, but it's more of an emotional than spiritual thing.

  • What are some good flirting techniques, touch wise?

I can be witty. I can be playful. I can tease. I can joke. But I have a problem. I cannot touch. I have no idea what it is, but when it gets to the touching part of flirting I hold back, and so my point does not get across. How do I get more comfortable, and what are some classic touches I could use. Subtle ones, because the guy I like and I are always with a ton of people, and though I might be outgoing, I'm very wary of showing romantic emotions.

    Nothing dirty, please. -_-

  • How do I get him to leave me ALONE?

Ok. There's this guy at work, he's a year younger than me, and is nice, but I'm starting to really get annoyed with him. I'm not interested at all. He has this little crush on me and its getting ridiculous. He follows me EVERYWHERE. He even watched me clean my floor once, at work, and didn't say anything the whole time. He says bye to me like 3 times in the course of 5 minutes when leaving work. And whenever I talk to other guys, he stands in between us on the side with his arms folded. He's not even a part of the conversation, and does it because he thinks I'm interested in the guys I talk to (btw, I'll never date a guy I work with. Been there, done that). I've tried talking about other guys in front of him and avoiding him, but he will not give me my space. How can I get this kid to leave me alone without having to be mean about it?

  • Something is not right with me...how do I over come this feeling of being incomplete?

My friends and I are no longer close. We still talk in school and on the phone(rarely), but we don't hang out that much anymore. It is hard for me to deal with this, especially having it shoved in my face, and knowing I've been replaced. I'm trying to move on from it since I'm going to college next year, but it only makes me feel like I'm missing something, and ruining my attitude. How can I stop this feeling?

  • Is it a big deal that I want to hang out with my cousins alone?

Me and my cousins, who are older than me(im 17, they're both in their early 20's), said we were going to hang out, go out for lunch, etc. I've never gotten to be with them alone, or in a casual setting, so I've been excited. Now my mom is mad at me, because I told her that I don't want her and my aunt to join us. I mean, if my mom is around, I feel like we all have to watch what we say or do(well maybe that's just me, because I don't want my mom to know everything about me). Do you think she's overreacting a bit?

  • My friend is avoiding me, or "too busy". Should I just not try anymore?

Well, my friend and I liked each other. But then he had to go away for college, so we said we'd be friends and keep in contact through AIM and texts. Well now he never gets back to me or anything. I brought it up to him several times, but he says he's busy. However, I have a friend who has twice the workload he does, and manages to speak to me at least once a week. I'm not asking for a full conversation, just a nice "hello" or "how are you doing?" Should I just not even try anymore, because it hurts a little that he doesn't even try like he used to?

  • How can I flirt better at work?

I'm interested in a coworker, and we flirt all the time. The only problem is that i have a, well, gross uniform. Not saying that in regular cases I'd be revealing, but an over-sized shirt doesn't scream cute. It's also hard to leave a lasting impression, when I see him for like 5 minutes, once and hour, because we work in different departments. Anyways, it would help to teach this not so old dogs, some not so old tricks.

Please no filthy answers please. If I wanted a perverted answer from some weirdo or idiot, I'd ask my friends. :D

  • How can I get him to make a move?

Me and this guy have worked together for a year and we flirt constantly. About 6 months ago, he asked another coworker to ask me if I was interested in him. However, I had just gotten out of a relationship, and I thought it was kind of lame to act like as if we are in middle school. Anyways, now I'm single, and lately we've been flirting much more then usual. How do I give him the okay to make a move. (I would...but I'm old fashioned).

  • How can I get the point across that I like a guy, without exactly declaring it?

I know its better to go and just tell someone your feelings, but at this point, it's the flirting period, where me and him talk casually, and joke around, and trade witty lines. We have a few classes together, so I have numerous chances to get this across to him. Is there a way that I can send him a sign that I'm interested? I figure if I find out now, I won't waste my time completely. (Flirting of course will stay, but no serious prospects will come from an uninterested party).
