How do I get a coworker to leave me alone?

My coworker always annoys me. I work in the part of the market that has a scanner, but its not my main job to check out people's groceries. That coworker ALWAYS brings his stuff to check out with me, even if the store is dead, and I have other customers. He always makes comments and compliments me, but I feel weird that my 45 year old coworker said I looked like "a sexy librarian"(I wear glasses) and I'm a minor. And he knows. He always asks how old I am. He just pisses me off now, and I avoid and ignore him and make tiny small talk, but...basically how do I get this guy off my back?

This is sexual harassment. Tell your manager.

You should ask your supervisor for clarification on the policies regarding him taking stuff to get scanned when the store is not busy, it sounds like he's trying to put his responsibilities on you. Or you could simply start sending customers his way as well. As far as his comment about you looking like a "sexy librarian", that was inappropriate and you should definitely bring it up to your supervisor or speak to Human Resources about the situation.

Men, especially perverted men, usually take silence as permission. So be outpsoken with your displeasure. If he says something that makes you uncomfortable, stop what you're doing, look him dead in the eye, and firmly say, "That's not appropriate" or "You know that isn't approrpriate, and if it happens again I will take the matter to your supervisor."

This will let him know that there are negative consequences (reprimands, sexual harassment charges, etc) to his actions, instead of no consequences at all (you ignoring him).

Have a discussion with your boss and let him know that your coworkers actions make you uncomfortable, and you would like him (your boss) to address the situation.

Tell the boss and demand that the person be punished. Sexual harassment, especially of a minor is DANGEROUS!!!

This is not a game and at 45 he should know better. The boss is legally required to provide a safe place for you to work.

they are creatures of habit. regrettably you won't have the capacity to alter their habit. what you're able to do is get prepared to deal with this. adjust the section so as which you is relatively no longer interrupted while they must be grabby. have a small tray of workplace aspects that they want. (like the variety you put in a drawer to split sticky notes, paperclips, mini stapler, tacks, staple remover, highlighter, pen/pencil, small scissors, etc.) shop that stuff the place they'd attain it with out stressful you. no notes mandatory. if this is there, they are going to relatively grab it, do no longer project. merely shop your furnish on your drawer or something, and confirm you top off the tray daily. make it portion of your habitual once you first get in or once you end your day so as which you is relatively no longer interrupted for staple refills and stuff. they are going to all be knowledgeable very directly. *EDIT: do no longer forget white out and a few annoying chocolates too. :-) by how, i artwork on your workplace. merely kidding!

This coworker is way out of line with those comments. Go to your supervisor and lodge a complaint.

Sounds as if this guy has a teeny inappropriate crush on you.

Tell your boss what you told us. Your creepy admirer needs a leash.

That is sexual harassment and you need to bring it up to your manager that the person is making you very uncomfortable. You also need to tell you manager the crap that he has been saying to you, so they know. If nothing is done about it talk to your parents about getting authorities involved.

inform your senior either to change you from there or whenever that person comes to handle himself. Once or twice done like this he will not show up again.
