Ornamental sweet potato vines?
If I plant the vines I've got in a flower pot, and bring them in for the winter, will they survive so I can plant them out again next year?

Yes you can overwinter them inside. They'll get leggy. Cuttings will root in water.

This is what my husband has been doing for years: He just cuts the foliage off the tuber, places the tubers in a paper bag (you can put sawdust in the bag if you want), puts the bag down in our basement. Then he puts the tubers in pots around April (down our basement) and takes them outside when the weather is appropriate. We live in MI, zone 5.
