Intertherm electric furnace?

We have a Intertherm electric furnace in our mobile home. The a/c works but the heat won't come on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Update:

My thermostat is turned on auto. And if you turn the heat on you can feel the thermostat click but nothing happens.

There are so many things that it could be, but start with the basics. Is your thermostat turned to either Heat, or Auto. It needs to be on one of these settings for the heat to come on. Is the temperature set to at least 3 or 4 degrees below the room temp. Check the breakers or fuses for the furnace, sometimes the heating, and cooling parts are on separate circuits. If the fan that circulates the air is running check to see if the heating element is heating up. You can tell, because it will turn orange, like the element in an electric oven. If not, check to see if it has an obvious break, or crack in the element. There several more things to check, but they call for test equipment, like an ohm meter or continuity tester, and should be left to a professional.
