How much does it cost to replace a sound card?

I have a Dell Windows XP(desk top) and I need an estimate on cost so I don't get ripped off.

    Well it matters what you want to get. I would go to creative.com and go to shopping and savings center.

    Good ones are 75 dollars and up.

    Normal ones that you need just to hear sound and basic music is really like 5 dollars but no more than 20.

    It depends on the brand of sound card. When I replaced mine, the costs were anwhere from $25.00 to $40.00 where I shopped.

    Depends what type you want, a top of the range 3d sound, 5.1 output dolby digital compatible, or just your bog standard one.
