Book recommendation, generative grammar?

Can anyone recommend a good intro book on generative grammar. I'm thinking something by Chomsky but I'd like to look at any good introduction to the topic

"Chomsky's Universal Grammar" Cook & Newson

    "Transformational Grammar" Andrew Radford

    "transformational Syntax" Andrew Radford

    Many more!

I recommend The books by Radford more than other although they are a little bit old (1980s)
