Concerned about feeling baby?
Im only 26 weeks so maybe Im wanting too much too fast. I can feel him move most days, but when I cant feel him for hours or most of day I get worried. Ive been through this before, 9 years ago, so Ive forgotten a lot.

No need to get worried. As long as you are feeling your baby move at least 10 times within an hour, then the baby is fine. If you are still worried call your doc to put your mind at ease. Good luck!

some days, especially around week 26, my baby was quite active, but others, not so much. It could be I was busier those days and didn't notice her movements, or she was kicking more toward my back which you won't feel as much. But also, the baby sleeps alot. I am 34.5 weeks now and most days she moves a ton, but then there will be a day where she is just more mellow. or several hours. She moves more slowly, so I dont feel her unless I also put my hand on my stomach.
WHen you are concerned, have some OJ (or sugary drink) and lay down for an hour. Rest your hand on your belly and you should feel her move. If during that hour you do not feel movement. Call your doc

At 26 weeks, I think you'd feel pretty consistent movement. However, it's possible that your placenta is on the outside of your uterus (between the baby and your belly) which would cushion the blows. I have that issue (I'm 24 weeks) and I only feel my baby a few times a day for a few minutes at a time. As long as you are feeling some, I wouldn't panic, but mention it to your doctor at your next appointment. A stress-test to count the babies movements might not be a bad idea.
Good luck!

The baby sleeps a lot and some get lazy. My little girl is usually so crazy morning and nights but slows down a bit mid day. When she has off days were she barely moves at all I always get worried, its normal, but she is usually back to normal the next day. They dont always move all day every day. If you are really worried when baby isnt moving have a little snack or drink some oj and it might wake up!

congrats you are having a normal pregnancy. I am 25 weeks and if I don't feel her freak then later in the night she kicks me to make up for the hours of leaving me alone. Sometimes baby isn't as active as they settle into a pattern.
