This is true, isn't it? Did anyone hear any talk during the Biden/Palin debate the other night?
about Palestine, Israel, or Israeli occupation?
http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/...
"Palestinians ceased to exist in the United States on Thursday night. Both Joe Biden and Sarah Palin managed to avoid the use of that poisonous word. "Palestine" and "Palestinians" – that most cancerous, slippery, dangerous concept – simply did not exist in the vice-presidential debate. The phrase "Israeli occupation" was mercifully left unused. Neither the words "Jewish colony" nor "Jewish settlement" – not even that cowardly old get-out clause of American journalism, "Jewish neighbourhood" – got a look-in. Nope." Robert Fisk
I guess that would be a real vote killer, huh?

No one ever speaks of Palestine. For to do so in the open would be to face the shame the world should feel at what has happened to them.Their land ripped from them. Abandoned by the Arab and Western worlds alike. Torn by war. Divided by a wall and bombed and shot at daily for the crime of attempting to find work and buy bread.
60 years ago millions of European Jews were deeded Palestine in a great act of generosity and reparation for the Holocaust .The newly formed UN decided to make a grand symbolic gesture. One which would bring the world together in feelings of righteousness and generosity.
But you know what?? No Palestinian ever pushed anyone into an oven. So why were they the only people in the world asked to pay this enormous price for the crimes committed by people who were European and Christian??
Would it not have been more like justice to deed them West Germany??

of course we are no longer analyzing an identical cloth. whilst social risk-free practices grew to become into based, 10 workers supported a million retired guy or woman. in the present day 6 workers are helping a retired guy or woman. Estimates in 15 to 2 many years say that as few as 4 to 5 would be helping a retired worker. Social risk-free practices as all of us comprehend it in the present day is broken. at the beginning, the money gathered by FICA is going into the final fund for politicians to spend. there is not any Social risk-free practices Lockbox. in basic terms a team of federal IOU's suited now. Secondly, Social risk-free practices is getting a pair of million.5% return on the money it lends the government. hi! My 401K is getting a fifteen to twenty% return. Why shouldn't I be waiting to take my 6.2% that is going to FICA and place it in a central authority authorized 401K for retirement. If i'm compelled to make contributions, why can no longer I handle my own piece. That way the politicians won't spend it. My corporation will additionally pay 6.2% of what I make into Social risk-free practices. this could want for use to assist people who're much less fortunate. If i will administration my funds, i will additionally bypass this onto my babies interior the destiny. So the nest egg that I earned is often used to assist my babies interior the destiny. This makes plenty extra sense than the crap application that we've in the present day.

Actually, I watched the Debate. Sarah Palin addressed the issue quite adequately. She stated she felt that the Palestinians and the Iraelis should work out a joint solution, possibly considering a "2 states" scenario. She handled it very well, and in fact Je Biden agreed with her. That was one of the 4 points where I noticed that they both agreed on.

Well, I for one have tired of hearing about the Palestinian/Isreal issues. It may be aa issue globally, that has existed since 1947, but it isn't an American problem. It is a problem, but it should not over-shadow our life at home. As the world policeman, we seem to get dragged into lots of issues, but I think it's high time we focused on our domestic issues for a change. It's hard for me to concentrate on the Gaza strip when our government just levied 500 billion on a bailout....
It's important sure, but let's do a bit of house-keeping first.

Nor did you hear the word 'catastrophe' in relation to the 1948/49 re-settlement.

Yes, I would have loved hearing Palin explaining her belief that it is America's highest duty to God the kill Palestinians, and that all Jews are doomed to burn in Hell, unless they convert to Christianity right after she gets into power, which is when Armageddon happens.
You have never had as extreme religious nutcases running for high office as now.

You would think that Obama and Biden would be proud of the fact that Palestinians in Gaza are helping with the campaign. They even donated money he had to return because it is not legal for people outside the US to buy our politicians.
