can a 700r4 transmission out of a 94 chevy 2 whldrv be put in a 98 chevy 4 whldrv and the 4whldrv still work w?

    It will not fit.

    No, the two wheel drive output shaft is long and the four wheel drive output shaft is short. if you run that extention connector plate on the long output 700r4 your going to have to make new mounts for the transfercase and probly have to lenghten the front driveshaft because the yoke will be extended all the way out when you hook it up. In truck trader their is a add in the back for tranny rebuilds with a core deposite cost me $300 with out anything special but i got a trans-kit and reverse valve body for $650 4 years ago

    um, should be able to, as long as both vehicles have the same 4 pin connector going into the trans for tcc lockup. take the transfer case adapter from the 4wd truck and replace the tailshaft extension housing of the 2wd trans with the t/c adapter.
