what's important about weddings ?

well actually to tell you the truth i have no idea why announcing weddings is so important i think people like the feeling of being noticed so they announce it but yeah that's my reason why they announce weddings otherwise i don't really think it's that important

It's a major milestone in a person's life, like being born or graduating from high school and college, or having a baby of their own (or dying even!) It is the day that you pledge your eternal love to someone, and if you're lucky, that marriage WILL last forever and you'll never have another wedding again.

It is more symbolic than neseccary, it tells everyone that you love that person and will do anything for them and want to spend the rest of your loves with that person. Also it tells everyone that ur gonna be busy planning your wedding and may need a little help with the choosing of the cakes

It's not important. People just like announcing such exciting news.

Social rituals are a part of the fabric of the society. Weddings, births, coming-of-age, funerals - they are milestones that are usually commemorated in some way.

Because it just is. It's particularly important to the bride. It's a big day.

Not so important, people are just so happy that they want everyone to know....

I don't know either.. it's like heyyy I'm only ******* this person for the rest of my life... or until I cheat on the ***** and divorce!

I did it so my soon to be husbands ex would see it in the paper...and she did.
