Question for Air Force about Military transport aircraft?
Today I was at an Air Force base and heard some very large window-less aircraft taking off. They were extremely loud (Louder than commercial aircraft), and had a very distinct buzzing/humming sound coming from the turbines. This sound was very unusual. What kind of aircraft is this?
Also, what causes this sound?

Military aircraft do not have the noise restrictions that commercial aircraft do. That is the sound of REAL power. It could have been one of these.
