He was a state senator for seven years and a US senator for three.
He was a law professor and active in his community in his early years.
If you don't think that's enough, then lets remember he has Biden a man who has known his way around Washington for thirty years.
You can look up his history online, its quite impressive.

He has executive experience and experience bucking his own party line!
1). Obama worked with admitted domestic terrorist Bill Ayers with the Annenberg Challenge educational grants. Basically, Bill Ayers raised the money, hoping to use it to radicalize American students, and Obama distributed the money to various left-wing causes before paring them up with various schools. That would be considered executive experience.
2). While in the Illinois senate, Barack Obama was the only democrat in a room full of democrats to deplore the Born Alive Protection Act, which would have guaranteed health care to infants born after failed abortions. Obama believed that doing so would make the woman second-guess her choice to have an abortion, and therefore, would harm roe v. wade. I know that logic doesn't make sense, but what does is the fact that he was willing to go against his own party since all the other dems didn't see how anyone could NOT be for this bill.
Obama also gave a speech in 2002.
I hope that helps in your search for experience.

I’m doing this from memory, so maybe it won’t all be 100% right, but it should be close.
Barack Obama is a US senator. He ran for election in 2004. He, therefore, has four years of federal legislative experience.
Before that, I think he ran for the US House in 2000. This shows that he has been oriented towards service in the federal government for more than 8 years.
Before that, he was an Illinois Senator from Chicago for 8 years. This gave him extensive experience in crafting legislation and in working with people whose politics differed substantially from his own – i.e. downstate farm country Republicans. He has, in fact, been endorsed by some Illinois Republicans, and has been complemented by others on his effectiveness and his ability to work in a bipartisan manner.
Before that he practiced law at a Chicago civil rights law firm. Working as an active attorney gave him experience in the practical matters of the law, not just the book learning.
At the same time as he was working as an attorney and in the Illinois statehouse, he was teaching, for 12 years, constitutional law at the University of Chicago. That is almost certainly a top 10 or 15 university and law school. This demonstrates a firm understanding of the legal basis for our government.
Before that, he went to law school at Harvard – I don’t know for sure, but that is likely to be the number one law school. At Harvard, he was the president of the Harvard Law Review – the most influential law journal in the US – where he supervised 80 editors. I’m guessing they don’t give that job/honor to the kids at the bottom of the class. In fact, he graduated with high honors. So he has a firm grounding in understanding the law in general.
Before that he was a community organizer on Chicago’s South Side. That is a neighborhood that suffers from the urban ills – in the worst way – that most of us hope never to experience up close. This gave him experience dealing with the poor, and experience at understanding city governments and the problems they face.
Before that, he graduated from Columbia – another truly excellent Ivy League university – where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations.
Before that he attended university in California.
Before that he was raised in Indonesia and Hawai’i, partly by his white Kansas grandparents (a homemaker and a WWII vet.) and by his divorced Mom. He is multicultural, with clear links to southeast Asia, Africa, and North America. He understands the issues of divorce and single parenthood, teenage motherhood, health insurance problems (his Mom battled insurers and cancer simultaneously), ethnic identity and integration, and has traveled widely and lived abroad.
He is also intelligent, thoughtful, articulate, considerate, well educated, balanced, etc.
And that's good enough for me.

its pretty sad when you have over 30 some odd answers and maybe 2 or 3 answers are what real experience he does have, im glad you posted this question cause it goes to show that the majority of the people voting for him are doing so blindly, not really knowing much about him... its sad really...

sure, cause his resume has been posted on YA only about 250k times so far for these questions...
so, goto Google, type in "Barack Obama Career"
goto non partisan site
read.
as far as having a "presidental" resume...you will have to wait for him to update it in 4 to 8 years...as he is not yet the official president.

Well we know he doesn't show up to work. He is always absent when he is supposed ot be representing his voters. If I missed work that much I would be fired, so how come he still has a job and now they want to vote the absent senator in a president so he can take off again? Obama supporters are lazy asses and now they want to elect the biggest lazy a** of them all so they don't have to do anything.

Yes, his resume can be found at my source below. But I bet you won't look because you really don't want to believe he has any experience or accomplishments.
