A problem with youtube videos in full screen?

I am having troubles watching videos in full screen mode. The videos

look distorted and black borders appear on the edges. I am using a

laptop and my screen resolution is 1280x800; i would like to see the

image filling the entire screen

Update:

I have the same problem with google video or megavideo actually with every site that offers flash videos

[ Answer #1 is just a disguised salesperson trying to sucker

you into buying their unnecessary bogus software. I have no

idea what planet answer #2 is from. ]

The solution to your dilemma could depend on which version

    of "Flash" you have installed.

While the video is in regular mode (not full-screen), right-click

on the actual video itself. From the drop-down menu, click on

"Settings". If you see 5 square icons on the bottom row, you

    might be in luck.

The first 2 icons should both show a computer monitor. Click

on the one that has an "eye" on the bottom of its screen; it's

usually the first icon. You should thus see "Enable hardware

acceleration". If the checkmark box shows "confirmed", click

it off, and then click on "Close".

Although my advice to you seemingly goes against the basic

principle of "flash", it actually works. Please doublecheck for

yourself by going to Flash's own website -- and then read the

2nd-to-last FAQ near the very bottom. Here is my written-out

this will help you... Use 'zillatube' - it will help you watch full screen youtube video with media player..

It is very easy to download and convert to mpg/mp3/etc format that is compatible for your windows media player, for you to watch those videos comfortably. (you can also create an automated playlist that you can watch or listen to.)

It is the easiest way (and also the fastest).

It works very well.....just google search for 'zillatube'
