We know Palin's values, but what national non-religious issue do you think she actually understands?

Energy? She thinks a 1% increase in supply over the next decade will have a meaningful impact on pricing. This is not just cynical or naive, it's idiotic. If she's the most thoughtful person on energy in our country, as McCain has stated, then we are doomed.

Small Business? She and Todd's snowmobile business failed. She has expertise in the same way Bush had business expertise. Please, she's a bonehead who should stick to ribbon cutting ceremonies. Now McCain is a legitimate conservative with a track record. We can discuss policy differences there, but Palin is useless; a "cancer" according David Brooks and certainly not ready to assume the highest seat (see Parker, Frum, Will or Noonan)

And she has already shown how well she pawns off her handicapped baby to her 16 year old unwed pregnant daughter! That shows she can delegate authority

i don't think she is stupid - she has a marginal understanding of the USA outside of Alaska - but i don't think she is savvy enough to actually lead a nation. i don't think she has the capacity to learn enough fast enough to do the job if she needed to become president.

The other 49 states will be screwed, and I don't think Alaska will fare too well either
