is licorice bad for dogs?

my little dog ate a choc bullet. now i know too much choc isnt good but what about the licorice.

yes a choc bullet is choc coated licorice

    What's a choc bullet? Is it chocolate covered licorice? Most chocolates, if the dog eats a small amount, won't hurt a dog. You shouldn't give it to them on purpose, but it won't kill them. If it was a dark chocolate, then it would be more dangerous as there is a higher content of cocoa. As for the licorice, I have never heard of it being damaging to a dog - other than too much sugar and maybe bad breath!

    my dog likes licorice . the vet said it is ok . but do not over do . the licorice that i give her is a small size pice of hard candy , only once in a while.

    Definitely not GOOD for dogs, but I don't think it will kill it. Unless you fed it like a whole package. Try not to let him have anymore, he might choke on it as it is a very rubbery and chewy kind of candy.
