The Democratic Chairman of that Board even gave a snarly press conference bragging that he intended to find that Palin was guilty and would speed the results to produce an October Surprise.

He's a political ally of a Democrat who had announced plans to run against Palin in the 2010 governor's race even before she was appointed to the GOP ticket.

The probe had been closed before her appointment because there was nothing there and only reopened when this guy saw a political opportunity.
