Why are people fast to Judge someone from their name?

Seriously, how would you feel if people persecuted you because of your name? You could be the best person on earth, but people spread ugly lies about you, people begin to believe it, how would you feel?

Why can't people Think, Watch, and Listen before judging someone?

Wouldn't it be nice.

I don't judge them, I feel bad for them. Parents give them silly names and don't have any reason other then "to be different". Well there is a REASON it is different. This applies to white people as well. How about "Apple"? What kind of name is that? Then these people that use African names but don't know the meaning, or don't teach it to the kid. I'm fine with the idea if you understand what the name means, and teach the kid so they can explain later in life. Just like people who use Native American names and don't know the meaning. Well then don't use the name. To those who think it is racism, basically, no it isn't. It isn't that I want everyone to have a "white" name. It's that to me if you don't know what the name means then you should blend in with the names of the area. Just like if I moved to India and lived there for 3-4 generations, and in some cases more, I'd use a name of that area. I wouldn't say hmm think I'll use a name that will make everyone make fun of my kid's name because it is so strange to this area.

I don't judge anyone by their name and I don't want them to judge me. They just want everyone to have "white" names. Black people want black names, white people want white names. Indians want Indian names and Spanish people want Spanish names.

    What's wrong with that?

It would be nice but that is not likely to happen...that is why I picked my children's names carefully...you cant tell what they based on their name...
