Does a faint positive sign still mean I'm pregnant?
So after my husband telling me for the last 2 weeks that I'm pregnant, my mom saying she had some weird dream about me which means I'm pregnant, and then last night I had a dream I was pregnant AND I craved a pickle today lol...I FINALLY decided to take a pregnancy test just to prove everyone wrong. Well my EPT gave me a very very faint positive sign. I called the 800 number and they said any faint line means its a go. My period is due tomorrow. My question is, is there anything that can make it look like a faint positive without me being pregnant?
(By the way, we've been trying for a year and I've already gone through one miscarriage).

OMG! Congratulations! Make that doctor's appointment next week! A faint positive is a positive. It just means that the hCG has not built up in your urine to be a strong positive. But you are pregnant!

There HAS to be Hcg in your body to make a positive result! If you have miscarried in the past 3-4 weeks or have been taking fertility drugs, it could give you a false positive but if not then you are pregnant! A line is a line no matter how faint! Congrats!!

The only things that can cause a false positive is if you took a certain fertility drug within the last 14 days.

If you retake the test in 2 days, the line will be darker due to the hcg doubling every 2 days.

I work in a lab where we do pregnancy tests daily. And I have had the pleasure of having two positive ones myself. And yes they are all correct. Any faint sign means you are pregnant! You should make an appointment with you OB Dr. around 10 weeks pregnant. Any earlier and its hard to see it on the ultrasound. Congrats!

congratulations your pregnant if theres a positive line showing up AT ALL you're pregnant no doubt. i had the same prob with the line being faint but take another test in a week or so and it'll be much stronger. i had a baby girl :)

No your deffinatly pregnant! Congrats momma! I had the same problem i got a faint positive for like the first week after my period was due..It wasen't very bright until about 3 wks after i missed my period! Good luck for a happy healthy pregnancy!

Break out the pickles. My understanding is that pregnancy tests pick up a hormone that is only present if you are pregnant. No other way. So if the sign is visible at all, I'd say it's picking up the pregnancy hormone and it's a YES to being pregnant.

Yes, it more than likely means that you are prego!! It is highly unlikely to get a false positive. SO CONGRATS!! I would call your Dr monday and get a test done there just to be positve and get peace of mind
