How to upgrade existing LapTop to be able to run Spore?
I love my LapTop even if it isn't a very known brand.
I have an Acer Aspire 5720.
My problem is that the processor - Intel Centrino Core 2 duo is a 1.66 GHz and the game "Spore" requires a minimum of 2.0 GHz.
Is there a way to purchase a better processor and have it put in my lap top?
I haven't bought the game yet out of fear I will run into trouble.
I did buy "Viva Pinata" and it runs ok. only every now and then does it freeze up. If it isn't my processor could it be my video card? and how do I check what kind of video card I have?
It does have 3GB DDR2 and
250 GB HDD
As you can see... I am not too educated when it comes to computer stuff.
OK... let's try it this way.
Who out there bought Spore and is running it successful on their LapTop and what kind of LapTop is it and what are the specifications on the LapTop.
I think I would like to know the available RAM and processor type.

you have a Core 2 Duo, that means 1.66 x2 = 3.32GHz
no upgrade needed.
Each core clocks at 1.66GHz and it has 2 cores.

actually i "think" you can't do anything to your laptop to improve its processor.
only one solution to play spore.
BUY A NEW LAPTOP.
the 1st comment is incorrect because your dual core is .83 each and the total is 1.66
