We live in a representative republic, if the people, by a majority vote ( I think the electoral college should be eliminated) decide that John and Sarah should be in the white house so to say, then there it is. I also believe however that since we do live in a representative republic then our leaders are a reflection of ourselves. If they happen to be ignorant and out of touch then what does that say about the voters.
