Older cats and bunnies?
I have a cat and he is about 11 years old. he likes to go outside. and he's killed a baby rabbit before. I am thinking of getting a bunny. do u think it's safe?
should i introduce them before i buy it?
the rabbit my cat killed was just a baby. it tore its head off!! and i was thinking of getting a baby rabbit though.

How big was the rabbit it killed? I think most cats know enough not to attack something to big. Don't get a smaller rabbit, stick to something closer to the cats size. Keep them separated except for supervised visits unless you are sure they either like each other or the cat is terrified of it.
I had a HUGE bunny about the size of some cats, probably bigger than most, that my first two cats were afraid of.. She had run of our porch, and the cats would panic and run back in the house,. After they died, our next two cats weren't fond of her but they coexisted. She was a nice bunny mounted the smaller of my two cats to show dominance over her. They would still sleep together on top of her cage because it had the best sun.

i think the cat can attack the new bunny like it did to the other one , unless it likes him. you know pets sometimes they like you ,sometimes they don't.
