how much does it cost to put up an invisible dog fence?

We got a quote of $1500 to fence our approximately 1/4 acre lot. We thought it was too pricey so we rented a Ditch Witch, bought the unit plus an extra collar and did it ourselves for less than $500.

We're pretty happy with it but be sure to replace the batteries in the collar about every 4-6 months just to be sure.

It depends if the fence is one of those electrical ones or just an imaginary one. I am pretty sure the imaginary ones are free but not all that affective. I am not positive how much the electrical ones cost.

They are expensive, but I have never seen them actually work. I've seen all the dogs just run through them anyways,
