Why is it that the girl who would do anything for him end up last?
I'm in love with my best friend but he doesn't feel the same about me. No matter how hard I try I just cant get him to like me and he just seems to not see how bad he's hurting me with his actions. He always talks about all these other girls he's "in love" with, and then comes crying to me when they don't work out. I'm sick of it, but I just can't seem to get over him. No matter how hard I try I am still in love with him. Why is it that I always seem to end up last, though I give him everything and he knows I'm in love with him?
By the way, I'm 18 years old, so it's not like a 13 year old drama.
And yes, this guy for sure knows I like him. I have come out and told him, straight up, being that he's my best friend, and he even told me that he liked me also, but supposedly he doesnt want a long distance relationship since I just went off to college 2 hours away... but i dont think that still gives him a right to treat me this way...

Same reason nice guys finish last, sweetie. We may never know.
It's his loss. You should probably accept that and move on until he comes to his senses.

He takes you for granted because he knows you'll put up with it. Guys are like that. They treat you as well as you expect them to and as badly as you let them.
