Tips for style or brand of infant/toddler shoes for a child with thick feet?

My 10 month old has thick feet and I've been having a difficult time trying to find shoes that fit him properly. It seems like I have to buy shoes that are a size too big or else his feet won't go down in them, and then he just pulls them off. He's just starting to walk, so I'd like to have shoes for him for outdoors -- inside he just goes in socks or barefoot. Any suggestions?

You should definitely have him in soft soled infant shoes like Robeez or Bobux. They are slightly more expensive, but they are much better for babies' feet than hard soles shoes. Not only that, but they will fit him better and also be harder for him to take off. http://www.robeez.com/ and http://www.bobux.com/

I think you can also find a slightly less expensive version at Target.

Source(s): My son has had an orthopedist for most of his life (he's only two) - the orthopedist suggested soft soled shoes for the first three years!

well, im' having the same problem. my son's feet seem super fat / wide. get this...i had bought him a 12 month pair of black velvet pants, they were girls, but it was for under his halloween costume. My son will be 9 months tomorrow....I COULDN'T GET THE PANTS to go over his feet?!!? u know like the bottom parts hahaha.

anyway, i recently read its not good to put walking babies in shoes anyway yet. but do you have a stride-rite near you..the do specialty shoes with all the right curvitures for babies feet. BUT THEY PRICEY!

by thick do you mean wide?

    you can try shooshoos. http://shooshoosusa.com/products.php?cPath=51

they are like Robeez but a little thicker the leather and they are wider. my daughter has wode feet so putting robeez on is a little difficult but these are ok.

note* if you do order please check the sizing cause i noticed that length wise they run a little smaller than robeez so like my daughter wears 6-12 in robeez but i got her 12-18 mo in shooshoos
