To all the people who say not to get a tattoo because it will look bad when you're older?

Don't you realize that no part of you looks good when you're older, tattooed or not?

Update:

Okay, so some people don't seem to realize that most people who get tattoos think long and hard about it, and they have personal meaning to them. The vast majority of us don't get them to please our bfs/husbands or whatever. And not all tattooed women get tramp stamps. In fact, most don't.

i agree with you, it doesn't matter if your bf/husband, gf/wife, or family approve. your doing it for yourself not for anyone else... and to those that made comments regarding whether your next bf/husband or gf/wife will like the tatt or not, if they really love you, they will love you and your tatt as well.

and to those who made comments against this persons statement.... its not your body so why the hell do you care???? you don't have to live with that tatt on your body so why waste your time saying anything at all did it ever occur to you that the person with the tatt does not give a dam what you think? life is too short to care what others think so live your life the way YOU want to live it not the way others want you to!

They say that because some people DO regret it when they are older. Not that many though. I see people with stretched ears and am waiting to someday see a 70 year old guy with stretched ears. lol Tattoos and piercing should not be spur of the moment decisions. The only thing I will say is make tattoo choices carefully because they are hard to get rid off. Pick a great artist too.

I very much agree with you, when IM older i can look at them and think of they kick a** times i had back then, its some people take photos to remember but i just put mine on my skin lol..I don't care how I'm going to look when I'm older, all in going to care about is if IM happy and healthy, not what covers my skin..And if my significant other loves me they could care less about what i put on my skin, and i know many, many women that are very classy with tattoos, they don't make you any less classy... :)

i realize it :) i actually agree with you. And i think that if you get a tattoo with a little bit of meaning behind it, or even just a good story behind it.. you'll have that memory. The memory is always good, even when the skins wrinkly and grey :)

I am not against tattoes or anything. But remember, when something has pierced your skin and made the cells dead and injected colored dyes in the skin to look colorful - is it natural. The body cells of the area positively die and sometimes, can cause cancer too.

Why get stuck with something permanently - today even boyfriends or husbands are not permanent.

instead get tatoes with henna - it will last for about 15 days. When it fades out, you can change the design or forgoe altogether.

If you have a permanent tatto - and after growing up, you don't like it, or your BF/Husband does not like it...then what...? You'll have to undergo ten times more pain and expenses to get it undone... The choice is Yours

You are 100% right. I'm also one of those, that say so. I must admit it is part of the argument against tattoo's. Don't like them. Looks dirty. Is mostly bad art. Not (exactly) what the person wanted. And if your current boyfriend/girlfriend thinks it is sexy, does not guarantee that the next one will like it. And when is a tattoo enough? When there is no more space for the next? See that quite often. And just as many questions pro tattoo's there are anti (and how to remove) tattoo questions.

    Peace.

P.S. Still don't like them - and judge people having them. Which I feel guilty about..
