Is the McDonald's Monopoly game rigged?

I live in Tennessee (northeast) and we have noticed that there is always all but one of each property color to win the grand prize. Is there a trick to this? Are there different properties in different areas of the US?

I have only yellow and light blue so far and all I have are Atlantic Avenue and Marvin Gardens for yellow and Oriental Avenue and Connecticut Avenue for blue.

Hey if you are from somewhere else and get others we can exchange and make some money!! Let me know. My email is jhowell_0387@yahoo.com

Not as rigged as it used to be -

A few years ago they figured out that the people who won the top prizes were always friends of people who worked for the company running the contest (Simon Marketing). 8 people got arrested and 51 were indicted.

The scheme was eventually uncovered when one of the participants informed on its ringleaders to the FBI. While the fraud was perpetrated without McDonald's knowledge, the McDonald's Corporation voluntarily attempted to rectify the situation by issuing payouts to new (legitimate) contest-winners, awarding five $1 million prizes and fifty $100,000 prizes over a five-day period.

Wikipedia lists which are the rare pieces from each color group. The rare piece is alphabetically the last property in each group, except for Boardwalk, which is the last piece on the board.

I played for the last time today, and I started to do the numbers in my head. One situation, the only numbers I could roll that wouldn't win anything was a 6 and an 8, and lo and behold, I rolled that. The real kicker was the fact that I've never seen a 2 or a 12 rolled. I understand that on non rigged dice, those are the lowest combination of numbers you can roll...but lets be realistic, your not rolling dice. The computer just has the number already figured out. Its the same with the game pieces. McDonalds is pathetic....

No, the game is not rigged. In each set of properties, there is one that is ultra rare and only 1 or 2 of it produced. It could be in your area of the country or in another area of the country, that is hard to say. The people that win in the monopoly game are just lucky to get the ultra rare pieces.

Yes the game is rigged. It puts out certain pieces in diff. regions all over america. So if you are looking for that one piece and live in Washington state find a buddy in Florida who might have it =P

It is rigged. I was just sitting on community chest, which is six spaces from boardwalk. Rolled a six, and it moved my piece five spaces, to Luxury Tax. Did a little search and found that this has happened to lots of people.
